Manila, June 19 -- The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday announced that it has found sufficient basis to charge officers and representatives of the MFT Group of Companies for allegedly running illegal investment schemes, financial misrepresentation and corporate fraud.
In a statement, the DOJ said it "issued a resolution finding prima facie evidence with reasonable certainty of conviction against the Maria Francesa Tan Group of Companies and its officers and representatives led by Maria Tan alias Mica Tan for violations of the Securities Regulation Code, Cybercrime Prevention Act."
