Manila, March 3 -- The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday warned the public against heat illnesses as heat index may rise to 46 degrees Celsius in the National Capital Region until Tuesday.
In an advisory, the DOH said the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) classified temperatures from 33 to 41 degrees Celsius as "extreme caution" while temperatures from 42 to 51 degrees Celsius as "danger."
PAGASA also forecasts a "danger" heat index in Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, and Olongapo City.
