Manila, May 30 -- The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday suspended the increase in fees for facility registration and certificate of product registration for health products.

In a public advisory, the DOH said Secretary Teodoro Herbosa approved the recommendation of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director General Paolo Teston to suspend DOH Administrative Order (AO) 2024-0016 for 60 days.

The AO adjusts existing fees and imposes new charges for the registration of health products.

Herbosa signed the recommendation in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to promote ease of doing business and improve access to drugs.
