Manila, Feb. 16 -- The Department of Health (DOH) has extended its "Ligtas Tigdas" vaccination campaign until Feb. 20, 2026, as more than 2.2 million children in Mindanao and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) have already been immunized against measles.

In its situation report on Monday, the DOH said 2,299,034 children aged six to 59 months have been vaccinated under the intensified drive from Jan. 19 to Feb. 15.

BARMM posted the highest number of vaccinated children at 511,321, equivalent to 89 percent of its target.

Region IX (Zamboanga Peninsula) followed with 447,186 (85 percent), Region X (Northern Mindanao) with 437,876 (84 percent), Region XII (Soccsksargen) with 343,677 (76 percent), Region XI (Davao) ...
