Manila, Nov. 7 -- The Department of Health (DOH) has prepositioned PHP33.6 million worth of health commodities across 11 regions as part of its round-the-clock emergency response to areas affected by Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi) and those which might be hit by Severe Tropical Storm Uwan (international name Fung-wong).

In a Facebook post on Friday, DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa said the commodities include essential medicines, hygiene kits, and other emergency health supplies.

They have been strategically distributed to the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Negros Island Region.
