Manila, Feb. 11 -- The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday reported a decline in cases of influenza-like illnesses (ILI) and dengue nationwide from Jan. 1 to Feb. 1.

In a radio interview, DOH spokesperson Assistant Secretary Albert Domingo said a total of 9,995 cases of ILI have been logged as of Feb. 1 -- a 53 percent drop from 21,340 cases recorded for the same period in 2024.

Six deaths were recorded, which is lower compared to 33 deaths recorded for the same period in 2024.
