India, Sept. 22 -- Forty-eight individuals injured in a violent clash during Sunday's anti-corruption protest in Mendiola, Manila were taken care of by the government, the Department of Health (DOH) assured.

The Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center said two police officers sustained minor injuries, including lacerations and bruises, and were discharged after receiving treatment.

One unidentified male, however, was declared dead on arrival after a fatal stab wound.

The Philippine National Police, however, said no fatalities were recorded during the protest actions.
