Manila, June 6 -- Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. recognized the valuable role of Filipino Muslim military personnel in preserving national security, in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) on Friday.

"I also wish to recognize the invaluable contributions of our Muslim personnel in the DND and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Your commitment to our sovereignty, peace, and security is an inspiration to all," Teodoro said in a statement.
