Manila, June 6 -- Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. had a "lively and substantive discussion" with a delegation from the Notre Dame International Security Center (NDISC) on the Philippines' perspective on regional security.

In a statement Thursday night, the DND said the delegation, led by Prof. Michael Charles Desch, visited the agency earlier in the day.

It noted that such interactions are in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to continuously engage with international partners.
