Manila, March 20 -- The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is exploring areas of collaboration with Angola to ensure the welfare and protection of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the European country.

On Thursday, Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, together with Undersecretary Felicitas Bay, met with Ambassador of the Philippines to Portugal Paul Raymond Cortes and Philippine Honorary Consul of the Republic of Angola Megan Nicole Brechet Amamou at the DMW office in Mandaluyong Cty.

During the visit, Cacdac discussed with Amamou the Philippines and Angola's shared initiatives in promoting the rights and welfare of OFWs in Angola.
