Manila, March 20 -- The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has assured the eight repatriated Filipino crew members of the Portuguese flagged container ship MV Solong of all the necessary government assistance and support.
The DMW, in a social media post on Thursday, said Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac emphasized that the government remains committed to the welfare of Filipino seafarers affected by maritime incidents, following the clear directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Cacdac met with the repatriated seafarers at the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) office in Mandaluyong City after their arrival in the country on Tuesday.
