Manila, March 4 -- The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has forged a memorandum of agreement with a civic organization to enhance support and protection for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

In a news release on Tuesday, the DMW said the MOA signed with the Global Filipino Movement (GFM) would benefit OFWs worldwide through programs that would help improve their welfare and well-being.

Both DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac and GFM Chairman Efraim Tendero expressed full support for the partnership during the signing on Monday in Mandaluyong City.
