Manila, June 24 -- Fuel subsidy for public utility vehicles (PUV) will soon be disbursed to both consolidated and unconsolidated drivers and operators in response to rising fuel prices brought by the conflicts in the Middle East.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said fuel subsidies have been prepared in coordination with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order to provide immediate relief to the transport sector.
