Manila, Nov. 6 -- Dinagat Islands province was placed under a state of calamity Wednesday following the destruction caused by Typhoon Tino (international name: Kalmaegi).
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved the declaration through SP Resolution No. 25-2666 based on a Rapid Disaster Assessment Needs Analysis (RDANA).
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, chaired by Governor Nilo Demerey Jr., convened to outline priority actions.
Priorities include restoring power, installing alternate communication networks, repairing the Cambinliw wooden bridge, and providing relief to isolated areas.
