Manila, Aug. 11 -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) warned the public against a scam Facebook post from a fake Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) account that contains malicious links.

In a statement on Sunday, the DICT said the post's links are designed to steal personal information or compromise a user's device.

"We urge everyone to refrain from clicking suspicious links, providing personal details, or engaging with unverified online posts," it said.

The DICT has ordered the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) to initiate immediate coordination with Facebook to take down the fraudulent content.
