Manila, April 24 -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is looking to streamline the Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP) process by removing unnecessary requirements.

In a statement on Thursday, DICT Secretary Henry Aguda said an issuance will be issued within the month that would allow government agencies to move directly to budgeting their ISSPs without prior DICT clearance, provided they adhere to other established guidelines and standards.

"This reform directly supports President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s call for a 'Bagong Pilipinas' built on transparency, efficiency, and innovation," Aguda said.
