Manila, Dec. 30 -- Around 1.68 million residents in the Caraga Region are now enjoying access to the government's free Wi-Fi service.
In a statement Tuesday, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT-13) said that in 2025, the agency established 674 free Wi-Fi access points across different provinces in the region.
The access points, it added, have 95 percent free Wi-Fi availability for residents.
Of the total access points, 88 are in Agusan del Norte, 100 in Agusan del Sur, 203 in Surigao del Norte, 106 in Surigao del Sur, 96 in Dinagat Islands, and 81 in Butuan City.
