MANILA, Dec. 4 -- Batang Pinoy back-to-back champion Jana Jelena Nicole Diaz advanced to the ITF J30 Manila 2 girls' singles quarterfinal after eliminating No. 8 Korean Rae Youn Kim, 7-6 (2), 6-4, Thursday at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center hardcourt.

Diaz, No. 1 (U16) and No. 3 (U18) in the Philippine Tennis Association (Philta) rankings, will face compatriot Stefi Marithe Aludo for a place in the Final Four.

Aludo, the No. 2 seed, clobbered Singaporean Tanisha Kantam, 6-2, 6-2.

Meanwhile, top seed Tennielle Madis whipped Chinese He Yuling, 6-0, 6-0, to advance against No. 6 Singaporean Emma Lam Singh, who conquered Taiwanese qualifier Tzu-Yi Hsueh, 7-6 (5), 6-1.
