MANILA, Oct. 16 -- The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has started the turnover of modular shelter units (MSUs) to the local government of San Remigio, Cebu.
In a news release on Thursday, the agency said it marked the completion of the first-ever "Bayanihan Village" for families displaced by the recent earthquake in the province.
The newly constructed MSUs, located in Barangay Poblacion, will serve as temporary homes for quake-hit residents who lost their houses following the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck northern Cebu on Sept. 30.
