Manila, Nov. 6 -- The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday said it will look into reports of Filipinos allegedly discriminated against and deported from the United States without due process or access to legal counsel.

In a statement, the agency said it will coordinate with relevant government offices to ensure appropriate assistance is extended to the affected nationals.

The agency issued the statement after a picket dialogue organized by members of the International Seafarers Action Center (ISAC) in front of the DFA office in Pasay City earlier.

The group, composed of Filipino seafarers, called for justice for the reportedly deported cruise ship workers.
