MANILA, Nov. 22 -- No court order has yet been issued directing the cancellation of resigned lawmaker Zaldy Co's passport, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
In a message on Friday night, the agency said it can only proceed with the cancellation "upon receipt of a court order issued by a competent Philippine court instructing the DFA to cancel a Philippine passport."
"This is pursuant to Sections 4 and 10 of RA (Republic Act) 11983 or the New Philippine Passport Act. As of this time, the Department has not received such an order," it said.
