Manila, Dec. 16 -- The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has set March 31, 2026 as the final deadline for private developers to comply with the Balanced Housing Development Program (BHDP) under Republic Act (RA) 10884.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, in a news release on Tuesday, said the effectivity of ancillary sanctions for non-compliance has been further suspended due to prevailing economic challenges and the impact of recent typhoons, earthquakes and other fortuitous events.
The new deadline extends the earlier Dec. 31, 2025 target given to developers to meet the requirements of the balanced housing law.
