Manila, Feb. 4 -- The Department of Education-Cordillera Administrative Region (DepEd-CAR) advised teachers to monitor the health condition of children to protect them from various illnesses, especially after the Department of Health's (DOH) recent announcement on the clustering of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in schools.

Dr. Estela Carino, DepEd-CAR director, said in an interview on Tuesday that the DOH issued a memorandum lasts week to disseminate guidelines on the prevention, detection, isolation, treatment and reintegration strategy for HFMD.
