Manila, Feb. 4 -- The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday urged more parents and guardians to take part in the early registration campaign for incoming Kindergarten, Grades 1, 7, and 11 for the school year (SY) 2025-2026 in the Bicol region.

In an interview, Mayflor Marie Jumamil, the chief of DepEd Bicol's Public Information Unit, said the registration is intended to determine the expected number of students for the upcoming school year and assess whether existing resources are adequate.

Jumamil said since the early registration began on Jan. 25, more than 140,000 learners have already signed up for the upcoming school year.

"The early registration period is set to conclude on Feb. 15," she said.
