Manila, Jan. 30 -- The Department of Education (DepEd) has partnered with Nestle Philippines to further boost its nutrition education program in public schools in select regions in the country.
"Together, we aim to nurture champions, champions in sports, champions in academics, and champions in life," Education Secretary Sonny Angara said in a statement Thursday, following the DepEd's Nestle Wellness Campus Program in Taguig City last Jan. 28.
Angara said the DepEd-Nestle partnership is more than just a contract as it also serves as a promise to the younger generation.
The program aims to educate learners and their families to opt for healthier lifestyles and food diets.
