Manila, Jan. 15 -- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has partnered with local government units, people's organizations and non-government organizations for the protection of more than 2,000 hectares of forest in Northern Luzon for livelihood opportunities.

The DENR, through the Ecosystems Research Development Bureau (ERDB) and the Watershed and Water Resources Research Development and Extension Center (WWRRDEC) and other stakeholders, signed a memorandum of understanding for the measure at the WWRRDEC research station in Loakan, Baguio City.
