Manila, July 29 -- The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on Tuesday warned of possible delays in the implementation of programs, activities and projects (PAPs), if there would be changes in the 2026 National Expenditure Program (NEP).

This followed after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., in his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, said he would veto the 2026 General Appropriations Bill (GAB), if it is not aligned with the NEP.

During the post-SONA conference in San Juan City, DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said Marcos is "serious" in making sure that there would be no major changes in the NEP, also known as the President's budget.
