Manila, April 15 -- The City Veterinarian's Office (CVO) said Tuesday that it administered free anti-rabies vaccinations to 39,064 cats and dogs from January to March.

Dr. Maria Corazon Sepulveda, officer in charge of the CVO, stated in an interview through the City Information Office that their annual target is to vaccinate more than 140,000 pets.

Providing a monthly breakdown, Sepulveda reported that 9,075 animals were vaccinated in January, 14,758 in February, and 15,231 in March. The CVO also assisted 4,361 clients in January, 6,776 in February, and 7,391 in March. In the previous year, the office served 77,493 clients and vaccinated 156,817 animals.
