Manila, Feb. 7 -- Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) is hopeful about expanding its franchise to Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte after House Bill (HB) 11072 passed its third and final reading in the Senate.

The bill, which seeks to extend Davao Light's franchise to the two provinces, now awaits final approval from the Office of the President.

Fermin Edillon, head of Davao Light's reputation enhancement department, expressed optimism about the bill's progress, describing the potential expansion as "a significant step" in the firm's mission to enhance power services across the region.
