Manila, May 3 -- A month-long series of intensive anti-drug operations conducted by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) throughout April resulted in the significant seizure of illegal drugs valued at PHP7.4 million, the city's acting police director bared Friday.

Colonel Hansel Marantan, the acting DCPO director, said the city's police units carried out 122 anti-illegal drug operations during the month. These operations led to the successful arrest of 153 individuals involved in various drug-related activities.

The concerted efforts resulted in the confiscation of 1,093 grams of methamphetamine (shabu) with an estimated street value of PHP7.43 million, along with 566.6 grams of marijuana valued at PHP67,995.
