Manila, March 4 -- Davao City had the largest share of Mindanao's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2023, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

The city's GDP was PHP532.54 billion, comprising 14.8 percent of Mindanao's total GDP of PHP3.60 trillion, the City Information Office (CIO) said Tuesday.

Davao City's per capita GDP rose to PHP271,958 in 2023 from PHP258,811 in 2022.

The city ranked second in GDP growth, with 7.5 percent.

Cagayan de Oro City and Bukidnon ranked second and third in GDP, with PHP276.86 billion and PHP258.31 billion, respectively.

"This demonstrates the city government's commitment to sustainable growth," the CIO said.
