Manila, April 15 -- The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) assured it is preparing its teams for deployment to ensure the safety of Dabawenyos during the Holy Week.
In an interview Tuesday, CDRRMO head Alfredo Baloran said units will be strategically positioned to monitor processions and activities, especially at major churches.
"We have already finalized the deployment of our resources across all activity venues related to the Lenten Season. Our personnel and responders have been assigned to key areas," Baloran said.
Anticipating large gatherings at coastlines and river channels on Easter Sunday, Baloran said the CDRRMO will enforce a swim ban if localized thunderstorms pose a threat.
