Manila, April 30 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Wednesday said it aims to operationalize its Command Center in the third quarter of 2025 in line with the affordability, accessibility and food security targets of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

This will help monitor and track supply and include data of all agricultural commodities in the country.

In a speech during the 2025 Sustainable Agriculture Forum in Makati City, DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said this is part of the DA's efforts to advance climate-smart agriculture in the country.

"I'm happy to announce that hopefully by the third quarter of this year, the DA will finally have its Command Center completed and operational," he said.
