MANILA, Nov. 25 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Tuesday said it will launch a Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) Watch website and location portal to prevent corruption related to infrastructure construction.

This is part of the government's intensified effort against inefficiency and abuses affecting the income of farmers, as well as food production.

In a statement, DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said the technology will allow the public and local government units (LGUs) to participate as "crowdsourced oversight."
