SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Oct. 15 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) is in the process of distributing 45,730 bags of hybrid and inbred seeds to Antique farmers for the dry season.
DA Agricultural Program Coordinating Office (APCO) - Antique head Sonie Guanco, in an interview on Wednesday, said they received 7,600 bags of hybrid rice seeds and 38,130 bags of inbred seeds from the DA - Philippine Rice Research Institute, under the Masagana Rice Industry Development Program, on Sept. 16.
"We are distributing the seeds through the LGUs (local government units) or the municipal agriculture officers for the farmers to have their available planting materials for this dry cropping season," he said.
