Manila, Dec. 10 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) in the Cordillera Region said it is prepared to take on the responsibility of constructing farm-to-market roads (FMRs) should the function be officially transferred from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DA-Cordillera Director Jennilyn Dawayan said Wednesday that the agency already has personnel with experience in road construction through its special projects, including the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), which has numerous road components.
