Manila, Feb. 4 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) will reduce the maximum suggested retail price (MSRP) for 5 percent broken imported rice to PHP55 per kilogram in Metro Manila. Retail markets agreed to lower the price from PHP58/kg when the MSRP was first imposed on Jan. 20. "Starting tomorrow (Feb. 5), iyong (the) MSRP for imported rice na (that is) 5 percent will now be sold at PHP55 per kilo," DA spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa said in a press conference Tuesday.
