Manila, April 30 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Wednesday assured everything is set for the pilot launch of "Benteng Bigas Meron (BBM) Na" or the PHP20 per kilogram rice sale in Cebu on May 1.

During the Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon briefing, DA spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa said the program will initially start in Visayas before its wider implementation in the DA's Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) Centers in Metro Manila.
