Manila, Jan. 8 -- Police have yet to determine the motive behind the killing of a woman whose body was found inside a storage box in Basud, Camarines Norte earlier this week.

Acting Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said on Thursday that investigators are pursuing several leads to establish the circumstances of the incident.

"As of now, the investigation is ongoing. There were leads to be checked as to the possible motive pero hindi pa natin ma-confirm lahat (but we can't confirm anything yet)," he said in a statement.

The victim was identified as Anelis Agocoy, 37, of Barangay Bura, Catarman, Camiguin.
