Manila, July 8 -- The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday said the government continues to monitor the situation of Filipinos in Texas in the United States amid severe floodings in Kerrville and surrounding communities in Central Texas that already killed more than 100.

Citing the latest data from the Philippine Consulate General in Houston, the DFA said no known Filipino casualties have been reported.

"The Philippine Consulate General in Houston is closely monitoring the catastrophic flooding in Kerrville and surrounding communities and counties in Central Texas. As of this date, there are no known Filipino casualties or those who have been adversely affected by the calamity," it said in a statement.
