Manila, Jan. 23 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has suspended the voter registration activities in the second district of Antipolo City as it prepares for the special elections for the replacement of the late Rep. Romeo Acop.

In a statement, the poll body said voter registration activities are set to resume March 22.

"Regular voter registration in the district is suspended until March 22 for us to focus on the special election," it added.

Only registered voters, as of Dec. 20, 2025, are eligible to vote during the special polls.

There are approximately 300,000 registered voters in the city's second district, making it the largest congressional district in the Philippines in terms of registered voters.
