MANILA, March 17 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday said it is set to distribute the Voter's Information Sheet (VIS) next month.

"We have to distribute the VIS in the entire country from April 1 to April 30. We have to distribute the VIS as this will inform the voters the steps on how to cast their votes and allow them to choose their candidates," Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia said in an interview.

At the same time, he reported that they are looking to complete the VIS printing in Meycauayan, Bulacan by March 24.

"We are now also using the printers of the National Printing Office in order to meet the timeline," said Garcia.

He noted that the VIS will have 1,667 versions.
