MANILA, June 18 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) may not push through with its plan to include the photos of candidates in the official ballots for the first-ever Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections (BPE) on Oct. 13.
In an interview on Wednesday, Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said this was because very few of the more or less 100 BPE candidates submitted their photos.
"We have around 100 candidates that filed their certificates of candidacy last Nov. 4 to 9. But after writing them three times [to send their photos], only around 20 candidates responded," he said.
