Manila, April 25 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) formally launched its mall voting initiative here on Friday, aiming to boost public awareness and participation in the new voting setup for the May 12 midterm elections.

The launch kicked off with a caravan passing areas where establishments joining the mall voting are located.

It ended with an assembly and briefing at the gymnasium of the University of the Philippines Visayas Iloilo City campus.
