Manila, Aug. 18 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is now in the final stages of preparations for the first-ever Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections on Oct. 13.
"Kami po ay nasa huling yugto na ng paghahanda (We are in the final stage of preparations)," Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said during the Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon interview over PTV4.
He said the poll body will start the printing of some 2.2 million official ballots through the National Printing Office on Aug. 24.
