Manila, June 11 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is considering posting the statements of contributions and expenditures (SOCEs) of candidates, party-list groups and political parties online for public scrutiny.

In a Viber message on Wednesday, Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said the SOCEs may be posted online in "about two weeks, because it needs the approval of the Department of Information and Communications Technology for the vulnerability assessment."

"If the public sees the SOCEs and if there is something wrong or lacking in their submission, they should inform our Political and Finance Affairs Department so that it can be immediately studied and investigated," Garcia said.
