CEBU CITY, March 15 -- Commission on Elections (Comelec) chair George Erwin Garcia on Friday called on Cebuanos to support the electoral body's major shift in voter registration through the Register Anywhere Program (RAP).

Garcia, who personally supervised the voter's registration and education at a gymnasium in Barangay Bangkal, Lapu-Lapu City, said the initiative would make the registration process is more convenient.

"This is for the workers and students and other voters who are temporarily staying in another place. They don't need to go home to their province to register. RAP will take care of their registration right in the place where they work or study," Garcia told reporters.
