Manila, Sept. 11 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is set to start on Friday the deployment of election paraphernalia for the Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections (BPE) slated next month.
According to Comelec Chairperson George Garcia, the initial deployment will include batteries and forms, among others, while the ballots and automated counting machines will follow in the coming days.
"We will start deploying the equipment by Friday afternoon, first in Tawi Tawi and then in other provinces in the region," he said in an interview at the Comelec central office in Manila on Thursday.
Garcia said they aim to finish the deployment of paraphernalia on or before Sept. 30.
