Manila, Dec. 8 -- The northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over most areas in Luzon, the weather bureau announced on Sunday.

In its weather bulletin issued at 4 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos provinces will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also caused by the northeast monsoon, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms are expected over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
