Manila, Jan. 4 -- The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested 751 suspects and seized more than PHP34.2 million worth of evidence during nationwide manhunt and anti-criminality operations in December.

Those arrested included wanted persons, fugitives, and members of criminal and terrorist groups, according to a a CIDG news release Sunday.

The operations also led to the confiscation of 149 loose firearms, 27 explosives, 129 assorted magazines, and 3,077 rounds of ammunition.

Among those arrested were 97 regional most wanted persons, 91 provincial most wanted persons, and 49 city or municipal most wanted persons. The suspects included five members of communist terrorist groups, one member of a local terrorist group, on...
